There are some people you meet along your spiritual path who stay with you long after your first encounter, people whose presence shifts something inside you in a way that’s hard to put into words. For me, one of those people is Annie Day from Heaven Scent Bliss.
I first met Annie a few years ago when I was looking for deeper grounding, balance, and healing. She gave me a couple of kinesiology treatments, and honestly, she amazed me. Her energy, her intuition, and her understanding of the body and spirit were unlike anything I’d experienced. She’s one of those practitioners you instantly feel safe with, someone who blends compassion, deep knowledge, and spiritual insight in a way that feels genuine and effortless.
So when Annie agreed to take part in this feature for Mystic Realm Blog, I was genuinely delighted to catch up with her again. Below is her full story, her journey, her teachings, her healing work, and her incredible connection with Angels and energy medicine. Everything written below is in Annie’s own words.

Who Is Annie Day and What Is Heaven Scent Bliss?
I’m Annie Day, a naturopathic therapist who loves to help people reach optimum health, surpass their goals and show up consistently as the best version of themselves. My journey into natural medicine began in 1998 when I fractured my coccyx and pelvis in an accident. After 6 months my GP told me I would never walk again, would be in constant pain and the best he could offer was pain management sessions. At the time I was walking like a Sumo wrestler with 2 walking sticks. I was in constant acute pain and was unable to sleep. I came outside the GPs surgery and implored the Angels to help me find a natural solution. Moments later a friend walked by asked me what was happening. I told him what the GP had said my prognosis was and that I believed there was a natural cure. He agreed and referred me to his acupuncturist.
I met Victor Ong, my acupuncturist 3 weeks later who has been my friend since that time. I had a long consultation and acupuncture with him and walked out completely pain free walking normally. I have regular acupuncture approximately every 8 weeks to maintain my stability.
At this time I also became a Children’s worker in a Women’s refuge, funded by Children in Need and Comic Relief. I started learning Aromatherapy massage at Cannock College as a way to help the women and children to relax. I went on to learn: Advanced Aromatherapy, Swedish body massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Reiki, Egyptian Sekhem, Advanced crystal and gem therapy, Colour therapy, and Sound Healing. I went on to learn more esoteric healing modalities such as Tree Spirit Healing, Sea shell healing, Sacred Geometry and Somatic patterns.
I undertook more training as a Kinesiologist after a wonderful healing session which convinced me this was an effective way of helping people by accessing their inner wisdom. I`ll speak more later in this blog on how kinesiology works. For me it was literally life changing and miraculous.
At this time I’d been working as a complementary therapist in a local hospice, full time on the acute ward. I learned so much about helping patients with acute pain and how to reduce their anxiety levels. I also learned Hand and Ear Reflexology and Hopi Ear candles and how important Laughter medicine is for reducing stress.
I was still doing natural therapies in my own business in the evenings and weekends. I’ll be honest. I loved everything I was doing but had definitely lost the work life balance. I decided that as I`d worked at the hospice for 5 years a replacement would be easy for the hospice to find as I’d perfected the referral system for patients and staff.
I opened Heaven Scent Bliss full time in July 2006 and was able to provide good quality Health Kinesiology (HK) in Staffordshire. This was very well received and appreciated as up to this time the nearest HK practitioner was based in Shrewsbury. The Heaven Scent Bliss family has grown exponentially during this time and all the workshops I provide are well attended.
From 2006 I was teaching for South Staffs. College and Stafford College all sorts of complementary therapies as 12 week courses in the evenings which I loved. I was approached by a lecturer from Staffordshire University. She was attending 1 of my courses. She told me the world needed to know about the importance of Sexual and Spiritual Healing. She persuaded me to do a Certificate in medical education as I wanted to teach doctors and nurses as part of an MSc. It was all done by self-directed learning and after a lot of blood sweat and yes tears too I qualified with both a Cert. Med Ed and an MSC in Sexual and spiritual healing in June 2016.
I am very Blessed to be able to help patients with the variety of treatments that I do and by using HK to ascertain the best healing pathway for each individual. How Do Angels and Spiritual Protection Play a Role in Annie’s Work?
I’ve known of and worked with Angels since I was a small child, about 6 years of age. My maternal grandmother passed over and I saw as clear as day an Angel reach out her hand to guide my Grandmother and reassure her. I learned to call in Archangel Michael to protect myself, my property and whenever I felt scared. The Angels have been a constant feature in my life and I love it that we all have a Guardian Angel who supports, guides and protects us.
The Archangels I work with most are Archangel Michael who is great for protection, grounding and for increasing our self-confidence. He protects us from psychic attack, curses, vampirism of heart energies and ill wishes. Archangel Chamuel helps with all aspects of Love — Self-Love, Romantic, Sexual, Family, Relationships and Love of our beautiful blue green Earth.
Archangel Zadkiel is great for protecting our auras and is helpful for dispelling energies from the past including negative memories. He protects us from psychic attack, curses, vampirism of heart energies and ill wishes. He can also be called in when people are ready to pass over to the Astral Realm.
Archangel Metatron is known for working with Sacred Geometry and he even has a cube called a Merkaba that he works with. He helps special needs people especially children. He also helps us to manifest our dreams into reality.
Working with Archangels and Angels in my practice means I am able to accomplish far more than I could were they not helping me.
As soon as I’m awake at dawn I call Archangel Michael in to protect and guide me. I encourage all my patients’ and students to call them in for help with anything and everything. Remembering that if we don’t ask for help they can’t help us as that would break our free will.
I would recommend calling in Archangel Michael whenever you’re in anywhere that is negative. The worse places are airports, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, as when people are drinking alcohol it opens up their crown chakra which brings in negative spirits. The invocation doesn’t need to be elaborate. It can literally be:
“Archangel Michael, please protect me now.”
Give it a whirl — he makes a great difference to our grounding and overall protection.
By calling in our own Guardian Angels and Archangel Michael means that especially in healing sessions we’re not absorbing other people’s symptoms and emotions. Without this protection it is difficult sometimes to know which our symptoms are and emotions and which are other peoples. It’s my belief that you can never be too grounded or too well protected.
Many of us are Earth Angels — that is Light workers and sensitive empaths. If we want to maintain our inner peace and loving nature we must have strong boundaries and be assertive about our own needs. A great saying is “Always put your own oxygen mask on first, before helping others.” In this way you can be loving and helpful whilst standing in your own Divine power.

The biggest misconception that people often have about working with Angels is that they should just help us without us asking and giving them permission to do so. When in reality they will not break our free will under Karmic law and have to be invited to help us. So whatever aspect of life you need help with ask the Angels to help you whether that be small or large issues. Always remember to thank them.
