Inside No Quarter Paranormal – Hope, Evidence, and Closure in Every Investigation 🏴‍☠️

I’ve been eager to share this interview, and it was well worth the wait. Even before spooky season kicks off, the team at No Quarter Paranormal has been busy bees 🐝, but they still made time to share their story with us here at Mystic Realm Blog.

This North Carolina-based team brings something special to the paranormal field: integrity, compassion, and a focus on helping people first. Their motto says it all — “Bringing Hope, Getting Evidence, and Giving Closure.”

Let’s dive into their journey and what drives their investigations.

Can you tell us a little about how No Quarter Paranormal got started and what inspired the name?

No Quarter Paranormal came to be right before 2020, at the end of 2019. We are all a bunch of friends that came from other previous teams or have collaborated with one another at some point and decided to make a team of our own since we all had the same way of investigating and how we approach the paranormal which is being respectful of the people, businesses, and locations and leaving things better than when contacted about.

Our motto is simply “Bringing Hope, Getting Evidence, and Giving Closure.” As long as we do that every time, we’re satisfied with how things went 😊

The name comes from a homage to the pirate, Blackbeard, that the two brothers and 2/3 of the co-founders, Brandon and Aaron who have lineage to him so it’s a tip of the cap sort to speak.

What’s the spookiest or most unexplainable experience you’ve had while investigating?

The biggest one as a team actually comes from a day-time investigation surprisingly — it’s now a small library in a little town here in North Carolina that was the old courthouse in the 1860s.

There was a known trial there that went wrong where a preacher had murdered his wife, and as he was being persecuted on the stand he had snuck in a gun and shot the prosecutor lawyer and then un-alived himself so he didn’t have to spend time in jail or face a death penalty. They placed his body down in the holding cell which is now a part of the library.

The evidence was unreal — we heard clear footsteps and movement in the courthouse itself when left alone and cameras rolling. The spirit-box literally had sentences or words which sounded like a confession of guilt.

Our psychic went in completely blind with no briefing or heads-up and was able to draw the preacher — and it matched up almost perfectly with the pictures we later showed her on Google. It was a remarkable investigation and a reminder that the paranormal can happen no matter what time of day or night.

Do you believe spirits are tied to specific places, or do you think they can attach themselves to people too?

We think there’s both. Places are usually something we call residual which is like an imprint or energy looping in time over and over.

There’s also intelligence in some spirits of those that tend to have unfinished business or have a message to tell someone, so they can be found in a similar place they once were.

We also believe some have attachments — whether they are nice or not — that follow a person, regardless of location.

What tools or techniques do you find most reliable during your investigations?

We find it’s important to truly sweep through a place first. Using a K2 to find the electromagnetic places in the home, and a thermometer of some sort to get the general base temperature.

Note how things look and feel in a home, business, or location. Then we think it’s also more important for evidence purposes to confirm things by using different strategies like a voice recorder and the Estes method, using our equipment for yes or no questions like REM Pod or K2.

Using our “tripwire” EMF rope, infrared, anything we can do to put the data together to try and see if it matches up with how our sensitive or psychics are getting on their end without equipment after the initial sweep.

If you could investigate any haunted location in the world, where would it be and why?

This varies depending on which member of the team you ask 😆 but the consensus is the actual Conjuring House in Rhode Island.

Once it’s available to investigate again, we’re interested in putting ourselves to the test and seeing what happens — and what evidence we come away with to help with the mystery of that home.

Have you ever had an experience that made you question whether to continue investigating the paranormal?

Yes, in short, when you come across very dark things that try to prey on a family or person and it tries to destroy their peace or personal space — and the threat that it might come at you for helping — it makes you second-guess if it’s worth it sometimes.

But ultimately, everyone needs hope, and some teams truly want to be there to help from start to finish no matter the resources needed to make that happen.

How do you balance skepticism and belief when reviewing evidence?

There’s several of us that were skeptics to begin with — not everyone was sensitive or gifted at birth. We choose to continue to see it as skeptics even though all of us now have seen, heard, and felt too much to say the paranormal is not real lol.

But we don’t just go off of what we’re feeling or seeing. Evidence is just as important, and using the equipment and scientific theory to collect that is very important to us.

We get that things can be explained easily — like a leaky faucet, creaky floors, or old home sounds. We’re more apt to debunk something quickly than say, “Yep, this place is haunted.”

What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about ghost hunting or the paranormal?

The biggest misconception is that anyone can be a paranormal investigator. That is certainly not the case.

We believe that it has to start with being smart — whether you grew up with the paranormal happening, you have a gift, or it’s just your biggest passion. Gaining knowledge about what it entails to investigate, researching, and using resources first before just using an app or buying a K2 meter and going crazy with it is the way to go.

Is there a ghost tour in the area? Go to those! Got an open investigation with a team that’s done it before and you can ask questions during? Do those!

Dip your toes in and take your time. Know the dangers that could come, learn about protection, and just please be careful 🙏🏻. There’s been a lot of harm and bad investigations that come from people not being prepared for the paranormal.

Has there ever been a case where you feel you genuinely helped a family or business by investigating?

Absolutely — we helped for over two years at the very historic Webb Library in Morehead City, NC.

We were responsible for cleansing and clearing the area as the library itself was moving across the street, but before the building was dormant for a bit before the new owners took over, we made sure the said portal there in the hallways upstairs was cleansed and closed.

Mr. and Mrs. Webb, the original owners of the home, still reside there spiritually, and their requests were met. Now not a lot of concerning activity happens anymore — just the residual stuff from time to time.

We even got to help clean it up and move the books to the new location and get it ready for its opening. It was very gratifying, satisfying, and we’re very proud of what we accomplished there at that historic location ❤️.

How can people reach out to you if they’d like to follow your work, connect, or even request an investigation?

Thanks for the opportunity to do the blog!

You can follow us on all the popular social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, and X/Twitter by searching “No Quarter Paranormal” to keep up with all the events and investigations we’ve got going on! 👻

Finally, what advice would you give to someone who’s interested in starting their own paranormal investigations?

If you do have a team or create one, be very careful and slow on who you decide to have come aboard. If it’s not working out and not gelling correctly, it’s ok to pivot.

Keep your team smaller if need be, or at the very least, have a vetting or trial period so there can be a change if necessary.

Make sure the vibes stay high and good 👍🏻☺️
