What first sparked your interest in the paranormal, and how did it grow into what you’re doing now with Paranormal Pieces?
From a very young age I experienced things that couldn’t be explained whether it was sensing spirits, vivid dreams, sleep paralysis, or out-of-body experiences. As I got older, those experiences grew stronger. I started documenting what I went through, researching spiritual phenomena, and connecting with others who had similar stories. That’s when Paranormal Pieces was born — as a platform to share my truth, explore the unknown, and help others feel less alone in their own experiences.
As a paranormal researcher, what areas of the unexplained fascinate you the most?
The areas that fascinate me most are spirit communication, past lives, and the connection between the living and the spirit world. I’m especially drawn to the way spirits try to reach out — through dreams, signs, or energy shifts. I also have a deep interest in soul contracts, karmic lessons, and the idea that we’ve lived many lives before this one.
How does your path as an eclectic spiritualist influence the way you investigate or approach paranormal phenomena?
As an eclectic spiritualist, I draw from many belief systems, religions, practices, and intuitive tools, which gives me a more open-minded and holistic approach. I use my instincts more than equipment — besides a camera — and rely on intuition, energy shifts, and spiritual signs. Every encounter is unique, and blending spiritual insight with investigative methods allows me to connect deeper with both the energies present and the messages behind them.
Living in Melbourne, do you think Australia has its own unique energy or haunted history compared to other parts of the world?
Absolutely! Australia — and especially Melbourne — has a very distinct energy when it comes to the paranormal. There are sacred sites tied to Aboriginal Dreamtime stories, prisons, asylums, and historic buildings that hold heavy energies. Melbourne also has its own hidden hauntings that are often overlooked, making it the perfect place for uncovering “paranormal pieces.”
What’s one of the most memorable or unexplainable experiences you’ve had so far?
One unforgettable experience happened when I was 19 and pregnant, living in an older house that always felt eerie. One night, we caught something live on our home surveillance camera — a glowing orb floating with purpose. It responded to yes/no questions, moving where we asked, staying outside before leaving peacefully after about 10 minutes.
My partner at the time, who was extremely skeptical, witnessed it too and was left speechless. The experience completely shifted his skepticism. Looking back, I felt it was a spiritual sign of protection as I entered motherhood — a personal and emotional moment that reminded me we are never truly alone.
Do you prefer the research side or hands-on investigations?
Both, as they go hand in hand. I love researching the history of a location as it often confirms what I intuitively pick up. Combining both is where the real magic happens.
How do you balance skepticism and belief when looking at paranormal claims?
I always approach everything with an open mind but also grounded. Not everything is paranormal, so I look for logical explanations first — but I also trust my intuition. It’s about staying curious and balanced.
Do you use any specific tools or practices in your work?
I don’t rely much on equipment besides a camera. Spiritually, I lean on meditation, intuition, and reading energy shifts in a space, which often reveals more than any tool can.
Have you seen your work change people’s perceptions?
Yes, definitely. I’ve had skeptics open up after experiencing something unexplainable through my work, and I’ve also validated believers who were too afraid to share their stories. It opens up conversations, helps people feel less alone, and gives them permission to trust their own intuition.
