Meet The Spookettes – Six Women Taking the Paranormal World by Storm

What happens when you mix friendship, laughter, and a love of the supernatural? You get The Spookettes, a team of six women who are making waves in the paranormal scene. What started as a surprise Hen night at the infamous Ancient Ram Inn turned into something much bigger: a committed team of investigators capturing chilling evidence and sharing their adventures with the world.

From eerie EVPs and shadow figures to unforgettable nights inside haunted prisons, The Spookettes are proving that ghost hunting isn’t just about fear, it’s about connection, curiosity, and courage. I was really excited that they agreed to do a Q&A with me so here it is.

Q2. What inspired you to come together as a team and form The Spookettes?

A2. This is a good question! The Spookettes were born on May 5th 2024, the night of Doe’s surprise Hen Night at The Ancient Ram Inn. Flo was given the honour of being Maid Of Honour & due to us all loving the paranormal, Flo decided to hire The Ancient Ram Inn as a surprise. We decided the morning after that we were going to become a “team,” share our findings & call ourselves The Spookettes.

Q3. What has been your most memorable investigation together as a team?

A3. I think each of us girls will agree on this one: Gloucester Prison! We went here on 20th August 2025 & this was on another level of paranormal experiences. For more than one reason this will forever stay with us and was truly the best investigation we’ve ever been on. We have walked away having learnt a lot about ourselves & our fear limits. Would we go back? Yes! It was amazing!

Q4. Have you ever had an experience during an investigation that left you genuinely frightened or even questioning whether to continue?

A4. I truly believe Gloucester Prison was our most frightening investigation to date. It hasn’t left us questioning whether to continue, but we definitely hit our limit of fear there. Each of us girls witnessed beyond terrifying experiences: being pushed, pulled, touched, hearing whispers, footsteps, whistles, seeing shadows, and even things going missing and showing up in very strange places. This one really did scare us. Lots of screams but lots of laughs too.

Q5. Do you find that each of you brings different strengths or approaches to an investigation?

A5. Oh definitely! We all do bring different strengths to our investigations in our own ways. We all have great ideas and all of us are willing to try what one of us suggests. Being a group of 6 females all with the spiritual abilities to sense spirit it can be very interesting to say the least.

Q6. What’s one piece of evidence you’ve captured, whether video, EVP, or otherwise, that still gives you chills when you look back on it?

A6. Over the years of investigating together we have collected some amazing pieces of evidence. However, as we are going through our footage from Gloucester Prison we’ve come across a Class A EVP caught on Flo’s solo saying “Protect Cheryl” — it has vocal tones and is crisp and clear. A very interesting piece of evidence. We also have an amazing photo of a seven-foot shadow man caught in a pub local to us.

Q7. How do you handle scepticism, both from the public and within your own team, when it comes to unexplained experiences?

A7. Hmm, with respect. Everyone is entitled to their own views & beliefs. We don’t knock or put down others who may not believe. That’s their choice. But we hope one day they witness something to prove to them that there is something else out there.

We are full believers in paranormal but we will attempt to debunk any evidence we may capture. Ames is our level-headed debunker.

Q8. Are there any particular haunted locations in the UK (or beyond) that are on your team’s “must investigate” list?

A8. Oh yes! We would love to visit America & tour some of the amazing locations such as Waverly Hills, Pennhurst Asylum, Trans-Allegheny, and Alcatraz. But there are also some amazing locations in the UK that we have our eyes on for the coming years, such as a return to Gloucester Prison, Shepton Mallet, Bodmin Jail, etc.

Q9. How do you support each other emotionally during intense or draining investigations?

A9. Our friendship & bond is built on trust, honesty, understanding & love. We support each other endlessly. But laughter is our way. If someone is struggling with intense activity or feelings, we support each other through it, then once it’s conquered we laugh together about it. We are each other’s backbones and encourage each other through any struggles we come across.

Q10. Finally, how can people follow your journey and keep up with your latest investigations on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or elsewhere?

A10. The Spookettes can be found on TikTok, YouTube, Facebook & Instagram. Just type @thespookettes and we pop up. We post updates & clips on TikTok regularly. Full episodes are always posted only on YouTube. Facebook is used for updates and teasers, and Instagram is just getting started at the moment.
