I’ve been really looking forward to getting the answers back from Ghost Bros, one of the most entertaining and down-to-earth paranormal teams out there. Their mix of brotherhood, curiosity, and genuine respect for the unknown has made them stand out in the world of ghost hunting and supernatural investigations.
Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ghost Bros bring together a diverse group of friends with a shared passion for exploring haunted locations, uncovering history, and documenting the unexplained. What started out as a bit of fun has evolved into a captivating paranormal project that’s both cinematic and sincere.
From eerie encounters at Waverley Hills Sanatorium to cinematic investigations at Loveland Castle and beyond, the team’s blend of humor and heart makes their work refreshing in a world often filled with over-the-top reactions. Their YouTube channel, GhostBros513, captures their journey beautifully; balancing chills with authenticity, laughter with respect, and storytelling with strong production value.
In this exclusive Q&A, the Bros share how they started, their investigative style, their most memorable moments, and their advice for anyone wanting to explore the paranormal world themselves. Lets Go…
Can you introduce yourselves and tell us how Ghost Bros first came together?
We are the Ghost Bros, from Cincinnati, Ohio. We’re a group of guys from all walks of life and beliefs who crossed paths over the years in different ways — some of us are high school friends, while others met through our wives or mutual friends. Eventually, we realized we all shared a connection and a curiosity about the paranormal.

What inspired you to start documenting your paranormal investigations on YouTube?
We first started kind of as a joke, to be honest. Armand has always had a love for the paranormal — like many investigators, Ghost Adventures was a big influence. He began filming and editing videos at just eight or nine years old, and that creative spark never went away.
One night, Armand invited a few friends — Kaleb, Elliott, and Steven — to a public investigation at Waverley Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky. It was mostly comedic at first, but things began to shift after visiting Loveland Castle. That’s where the tone of the channel changed — from lighthearted fun to serious curiosity. After that, visits to Whispers Estate and Prospect Place solidified our commitment. We were hooked and haven’t looked back since.
How would you describe your style or approach when investigating haunted locations?
At first, we didn’t have a set style. We learned by watching creators like Paranormal Quest and Ghost Adventures. We started with minimal gear and just made use of what we had. Over time, our approach evolved into something that felt uniquely ours.
Respect is at the heart of what we do — respect for the history, the location, and whatever entities might be there. We always introduce ourselves at the start of the night, treating each space like someone’s home.
Visually, we treat our investigations like an art form. We aim to capture the beauty and atmosphere of these places, not just the scares. We’re known for our signature colored lighting, cinematic drone footage, and short, engaging highlight-style videos.
Most creators post hour-long videos, but ours usually run 10–20 minutes — packed with storytelling, atmosphere, and genuine reactions. If viewers choose to spend time watching us, we want to make sure they get something memorable in return.
What has been your most memorable or chilling experience during an investigation?
Without a doubt, our second trip to Waverley Hills Sanatorium. It was a cold, rainy night in January, and after hours of little activity, we were ready to pack up. But Kaleb decided to keep filming as we headed up to the fifth floor — and that’s when everything changed.
After some quiet time with a spirit box, our REM-Pod suddenly went off like crazy. We assumed it was malfunctioning due to the cold, but when we went to collect it, Sabian stopped us with a quiet, “Uh, guys…”
There, on the wet floor, were a set of fresh footprints — toes and all — walking out from a puddled room, circling the REM-Pod, and disappearing at a window. No one else was there. That moment is still burned into our minds — and yes, it’s all on video for anyone brave enough to watch.
Do you each have different roles or strengths when investigating?
Definitely. Armand is the storyteller and creative vision behind the channel. Kaleb handles setup, B-roll, and social media. Trevor is our Estes Method expert — his work often shapes the narrative of our investigations. Sabian is our skeptic, keeping us grounded and ensuring we don’t get swept up in the moment. Elliott is our drone flyer and “wanderer,” always adding an adventurous element.
We all pitch in where needed, but at the end of the day, we just try to have fun, be ourselves, and enjoy the experience together.
What tools, techniques, or methods work best for you?
Our biggest belief is that attitude shapes energy. If you go in with a bad mood, that’s what you’ll get back.
We always start with introductions — letting any spirits know who we are and why we’re there. After that, we rely on our instincts and senses more than anything. Sometimes, the best results happen when you stop trying to force activity.
We also rely heavily on the Estes Method. It helps us form narratives and even conduct double or triple sessions where multiple members are under at once. We’ve experimented with walking Estes sessions too — and had great success with that at Indiana State Sanatorium.
How do you stay open-minded but grounded at the same time?
We all come from different backgrounds, so we’re constantly balancing belief and skepticism. If something isn’t clearly captured on camera, we’re usually quick to dismiss it — even if it’s disappointing.
Our goal is to be transparent and real. There’s no need to exaggerate. We also keep each other grounded with humor and honesty — a few well-timed jokes can really break the tension on a long night!
What advice would you give to someone starting out in paranormal investigating?
Be yourself. Go in with curiosity and respect, and don’t worry if you don’t have the best gear or locations. Experience teaches you more than equipment ever will.
If you’re creating content, stay consistent. Film everything. Don’t get discouraged if your videos don’t blow up right away. Keep learning and enjoying the process.
And explore local places — you don’t need a famous haunting to have an amazing experience. Sometimes, the best energy comes from spots no one talks about.
Are there any dream locations you’d love to investigate?
All of them! 😄 Locally, Cincinnati Music Hall would be incredible. We’d also love to investigate a zoo or aquarium — especially Cincinnati Zoo, which is the second oldest in the country.
Ultimately, our dream would be to travel internationally and experience haunted history around the world.
How can people follow your work?
