Q1. Can you share what inspired you to create Spirit Xperience?
We started Spirit Xperience, LLC to share the paranormal with the general public. I’m a former Reverend and have had experiences helping parishioners deal with paranormal activity. Ty, my wife, is a Clairvoyant who has interacted with the spirit world her entire life.
When we were first married, we went through a period of extreme paranormal activity that we had to learn to deal with. Since then, we’ve helped many individuals who were facing unwanted activity always free of charge. Later, while working tours in Savannah, we realized our experiences with paranormal equipment were too fascinating not to share. Spirit Xperience was born to give people a safe, hands-on chance to see that the “paranormal” is really just “normal.”
Q2. What makes your interactive walking ghost tours stand out?
We only run one tour per night, and we cap groups at fifteen guests max. That way, people aren’t rushed or lost in a big crowd. Every guest gets to hold and use real paranormal equipment like EMF meters, spirit rods, REM Pods, Spirit Boxes, and more always included, never an upsell.
We also encourage people to bring their own gear, take photos, and film freely. And unlike many tour companies, it’s just us no actors, no random hired guides. We personally guide every experience.
Each night starts with a protective blessing, and at the end, I offer a cleansing so no one accidentally takes a Savannah spirit home! Oh, and we can’t forget our special companion: Lil’ Annie, a Raggedy Ann doll that spent over 100 hours inside the Warren Occult Museum alongside the real Annabelle doll from The Conjuring.
Q3. Why do you only run one tour per night with limited group sizes?
We used to work for tour companies that ran back-to-back tours and packed in 30 people at once. Guests didn’t get the attention they deserved, and honestly, we hated rushing people through.
Now, with Spirit Xperience, our only focus each night is that one group. We see our guests as more than just tickets. We want them to walk away feeling like they’ve experienced something real, and maybe even made a few friends along the way.
Q4. How do Mike’s storytelling and Ty’s clairvoyance work together?
Mike brings the history and folklore always thoroughly researched while I sense spirits nearby, sometimes through smell, taste, or visuals. Over time, we’ve built connections with certain human spirits who regularly interact with us during tours. Together, we create something immersive for both believers and skeptics: accurate history, fascinating ghost stories, and hands-on paranormal investigation.
Q5. What’s one of the most memorable guest interactions you’ve had?
The skeptics are always the most fun. When someone who was sure nothing would happen walks away saying, “You’ve given me something to think about,” that’s powerful.
We’ve also had moments where guests’ loved ones seemed to come through though to be clear, we don’t claim to offer mediumship. Sometimes, the spirits just choose to speak, and the tools give them a way to do it.
Q6. Which Savannah haunted sites stand out most to you?
Both of our tour routes start at Wright Square and Monterey Square, and we make stops at multiple haunted spots. Some personal highlights are The Espy House, where a little girl’s spirit communicates with us, and The Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters, where the spirit of a former enslaved person often interacts.
Each site we visit was chosen for its history, folklore, and documented paranormal activity so every stop has a story.

Normally, we take Sundays as our Sabbath and Mondays/Tuesdays off. But we do offer private tours by request. They’re a great option for people who want a more customized experience. Guests can pick the route, the pace, and even the start time.

Q8. What advice would you give someone taking their first ghost tour?
Come with an open mind and a positive attitude. Spirits don’t usually interact with negativity, it just shuts them down. If you want a chance to experience something, you’ve got to show up ready for it.
